What is it going to cost?

Well, one could say, How long is a piece of string? Every print project is different. However, due to our years of experience, we know there is always an X amount of hours from design meetings and design mockups, artwork and pre-press setup. So costs generally depend on:

  • The number of pages you need
  • Any extra cover features, types of paper stock and finishing touches
  • Is it silky and magazine-like, or are you printing on uncoated for the Eco rustic look
  • If copies need laminating, so they last longer (Menus for bar restaurants
  • The print quantity (Modern Digital Printing helps keep the costs down by printing low volumes

We have over 20 years in the web industry and the skills and know-how to make stunning and user-friendly websites that will convert traffic into sales. Keeping up to date with the latest design trends and coding standards, we build robust and beautiful sites that meet all our client’s criteria.

Our websites speak for themselves. Look at our latest work and see if we can help you take your business/brand to the next level.

Website Design | Engagement Online

Websites are an integral part of any business. A professional site provides an online presence that brings a broader audience to your products or services. Your website is your shop front, it must look on point and be user-friendly on any device. If you are looking for a rework of your current design, we’ll look at all the points that appear outdated or hard to use and build a plan. The desired outcome will be a fresh new digital brand identity.

If you’re looking for a brand new website for a new venture or business, then we are here to help. At Freeside Media, we aren’t happy until you are entirely satisfied with the end product. We appreciate not everyone has a big marketing budget, so our team will tailor the design and construct a development package to suit your budget.

Website Design |  What is it going to cost?

Well, one could say, How long is a piece of string? Every website project is different; however, from our years of experience, we know there is always an X amount of hours from planning meetings and design mockups to server provisioning and setup. So costs generally depend on:

  • The number of pages you need
  • Any extra functionality like booking systems or particular shopping cart requirements
  • If you need us to populate the website with information or products
  • How much traffic do you expect
  • If you need any marketing graphics to help inspire your visitors
  • If you require hosting

Aside from the practicalities, gathering background information about your business is also necessary. What goals and expectations do you have, and what does your target market want to see? How can we ultimately convert users into paying customers?

Responsive Web Design

The world is moving, and people desire information quickly, efficiently and at their fingertips. If someone can’t view your website instantly, you may lose business. At Freeside Media, every site that leaves our hands is responsive and ready to be consumed on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

What is it going to cost?

Every business is unique and will have specific needs. With years of experience, we know there is an X amount of hours from planning and design meetings to delivering the final product or service. So costs generally depend on:

  • What you need to achieve from the project

The story

We want people to understand your story/message with added flair and precision. Animation can bring a simple product or subject to life, a visual stamp engaging target audiences on their level. This will leave a long-lasting impression.

You want your product or message to go viral, bringing customers to you. If we are smart and prepared to break some boundaries, we may be surprised by what we can achieve. With an engaging video or animation, Social Media and a clever idea is the best way to attract the attention of the people you want.

An excellent example of this was the 2007 Cadburys advert in which we witnessed a Gorilla playing a Phil Collins drum solo. What! Why?… All we knew at the time was that we wanted to know what it was about, interested to see who and what was behind it. We watched it intently until the end. Ahh, it’s Cadburys Chocolate. So although a drum set and a gorilla have nothing to do with chocolate, the advert captured and kept us watching until the end.

Some stats on video and engagement 2018

  • Watching online videos is now a mainstream activity. 78% of people watch at least once a week. 55% watch a video online daily.
  • The chances of getting a page one listing on Google increase 53 times with video. (Forrester Research)
  • 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text. (3M Corporation & Zabisco)

Art and Inspiration Cheshire

Hello, I am Cyril Lyons, the creative director and owner of Freeside Media Ltd. I’m writing a little insert into my background and how my journey has led me to this place in time. I am a British-born French Trinidadian born and bred in North England. I always remind myself that I have been privileged to experience the cultures I have been exposed to as a young boy. My mother’s French side was influential in a graphical sense with the Super Cora supermarkets and their isles full of Bande Dessinée (Comic Books). I was hooked by the print style and detailed technical drawing of Hergé and the Adventure of Tintin, the super crazy dark comics of Christin Bilal and the original Valerian Comic books (Now on Netflix). My Father, John Lyons, a Painter, Poet from Trinidad, surrounded us with ideas and art in our home in Stretford, Manchester. I often think back to those times we took for granted as we (my brothers Edouard, Guillaume and Antoine) discovered the world around us. It was inevitable that we would all be creative somehow.

Later in life, I studied at Leeds Metropolitan University, where I acquired a Desmond Tu Tu – A 2/2 in Graphic Arts and Design, which was not an exciting result. However, I discovered that being creative is a fantastic attribute we all possess, and how we use it will ultimately define us. At University, I discovered many media styles, music, film, print, animation, sport, food, and culture, which were and still are all-consuming as you try and figure out a goal. After Uni and a few years composing and releasing music on our small independent record label Rainy City Records, I realised I needed to focus. I started my design career with a loan from the Prince’s Trust. I purchased my first Apple Mac computer with this money and have never looked back.

I owe so much to my parents and how they raised me. Every creative work and image you see on this website is in their memory. So welcome to my life as I stand, and if you are looking for inspiration or friendship, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
