Well, one could say, How long is a piece of string? Every print project is different. However, due to our years of experience, we know there is always an X amount of hours from design meetings and design mockups, artwork and pre-press setup. So costs generally depend on:
- The number of pages you need
- Any extra cover features, types of paper stock and finishing touches
- Is it silky and magazine-like, or are you printing on uncoated for the Eco rustic look
- If copies need laminating, so they last longer (Menus for bar restaurants
- The print quantity (Modern Digital Printing helps keep the costs down by printing low volumes

The story
We want people to understand your story/message with added flair and precision. Animation can bring a simple product or subject to life, a visual stamp engaging target audiences on their level. This will leave a long-lasting impression.
You want your product or message to go viral, bringing customers to you. If we are smart and prepared to break some boundaries, we may be surprised by what we can achieve. With an engaging video or animation, Social Media and a clever idea is the best way to attract the attention of the people you want.
An excellent example of this was the 2007 Cadburys advert in which we witnessed a Gorilla playing a Phil Collins drum solo. What! Why?… All we knew at the time was that we wanted to know what it was about, interested to see who and what was behind it. We watched it intently until the end. Ahh, it’s Cadburys Chocolate. So although a drum set and a gorilla have nothing to do with chocolate, the advert captured and kept us watching until the end.
Some stats on video and engagement 2018
- Watching online videos is now a mainstream activity. 78% of people watch at least once a week. 55% watch a video online daily.
- The chances of getting a page one listing on Google increase 53 times with video. (Forrester Research)
- 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text. (3M Corporation & Zabisco)

Art and Inspiration Cheshire
Hello, I am Cyril Lyons, the creative director and owner of Freeside Media Ltd. I’m writing a little insert into my background and how my journey has led me to this place in time. I am a British-born French Trinidadian born and bred in North England. I always remind myself that I have been privileged to experience the cultures I have been exposed to as a young boy. My mother’s French side was influential in a graphical sense with the Super Cora supermarkets and their isles full of Bande Dessinée (Comic Books). I was hooked by the print style and detailed technical drawing of Hergé and the Adventure of Tintin, the super crazy dark comics of Christin Bilal and the original Valerian Comic books (Now on Netflix). My Father, John Lyons, a Painter, Poet from Trinidad, surrounded us with ideas and art in our home in Stretford, Manchester. I often think back to those times we took for granted as we (my brothers Edouard, Guillaume and Antoine) discovered the world around us. It was inevitable that we would all be creative somehow.
Later in life, I studied at Leeds Metropolitan University, where I acquired a Desmond Tu Tu – A 2/2 in Graphic Arts and Design, which was not an exciting result. However, I discovered that being creative is a fantastic attribute we all possess, and how we use it will ultimately define us. At University, I discovered many media styles, music, film, print, animation, sport, food, and culture, which were and still are all-consuming as you try and figure out a goal. After Uni and a few years composing and releasing music on our small independent record label Rainy City Records, I realised I needed to focus. I started my design career with a loan from the Prince’s Trust. I purchased my first Apple Mac computer with this money and have never looked back.
I owe so much to my parents and how they raised me. Every creative work and image you see on this website is in their memory. So welcome to my life as I stand, and if you are looking for inspiration or friendship, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Peace!
Cyril Lyons
